POINT OF CONTACT FOR PRODUCTS
Product Contact Points (PCPs) shall provide:
- Information on the principle of mutual recognition and on the application of Regulation (EU) 2019/515 of 19 March 2015 in the territory of the respective Member State;
- Contacts allowing direct contact with the competent and supervisory authorities in the respective Member State;
- The legal remedies and procedures available in the territory of the respective Member State in the event of a dispute between the authority;
- Useful information, such as electronic copies of national technical regulations and national administrative procedures applicable to specific goods in the territory where the product contact point is established, including whether they are subject to prior authorisation under national law.
Under Decree-Law No. 6/2021 of 12 January 2021, which ensures the implementation in the national legal order of Regulation (EU) No. 2019/515 on the mutual recognition of goods lawfully marketed in another Member State, the Directorate-General for Economic Activities is the National Contact Point for Products.
If you wish to obtain information regarding products that fall within the scope of IPQ’s competences, you should send the respective request to reg515@ipq.pt.
IPQ will respond to requests for information within fifteen working days, and no fee will be charged for providing information.
Notified national technical regulations can be consulted by accessing the TRIS database.
