The Metrology Museum of the Portuguese Institute for Quality has a collection of documents and books that can be consulted upon prior request.

This collection includes documentation from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries related to metrology, including several books from the Confraria de Santo Eloy (Brotherhood of Saint Eloy), all from the period after the 1755 earthquake and some bibliography of the 19th century, regarding the period of implementation, development and promotion of the Decimal Metric System.
